From mom and pop shops, to hole-in-the-wall restaurants, we love supporting small businesses. There’s nothing like walking into a local spot where everyone’s on a first name basis or having your neighborhood barista ask you, “Getting the usual today?”. Big box stores get so much attention during the holidays, so it’s only fair that hometown heroes get their own day to shine! To celebrate, we wanted to feature some of our own restaurant rockstars who are serving uniqueness in their communities.

Founder Liz Munson brings a touch of tie dye mixed with New Orleans charm to local favorite, Liz’s Where Y’at Diner (Mandeville, Louisiana). After a fire broke out at the diner in June, our drivers in the area pitched in to buy a calming care package to help give back to Liz during the stressful time for her business. Now open again, she’s serving up breakfast, lunch and dinner, so the menu is sure to have something to tickle your taste buds. Come for the food, stay for the warm and friendly atmosphere.

What’s better than one great local restaurant? Two, duh! Twins (Lafayette and Youngsville, Louisiana) was founded by identical twin brothers Billy and Denny Guilbeaux (hence, the name!) and features all kinds of burgers as well as some lip-smacking sweets on their menu. They’re also the home of the original Boudin King Cake, for those seeking some cajun flavors with a twist.

These are only a couple of our amazing restaurant partners and we want to give a big thank you to all of our small-but-mighty businesses! We hope that this gets you in the mood for ordering some neighborhood eats in your area. Want to get involved?
