    Driver Experience Coordinator

    Job Summary:  

    The Driver Experience (DX) Coordinator is responsible for assisting in business objectives regarding employees and management as a valued member of the operations team, specifically the Waitr driver core. The position serves as a resource to the Operations team.

    Responsible for assisting the city teams on any driver related tasks, such as, hiring, on boarding, retention initiatives, etc. The DX Coordinator will need to thrive in an "all hands-on deck" environment, with the ability to adapt to the needs of the market specifically. 

    Relationships:

    This position will report directly to the City Manager in assigned market.   

    Essential Responsibilities and Duties:

    •  Assist in the driver hiring process from start to finish
    • Complete necessary new hire driver paperwork
    • Educate and assist drivers on their Waitr journey
    • Utilize email, chat, and phone in communication with Drivers
    • Hold flexible hours and work weekends (Sunday is our peak day) 
    • Collect feedback, and make suggestions for new features
    • Exercise judgment to decide how best to handle driver issues with guidance of City Manager. 
    • Quickly solve unexpected problems and ensure drivers are working efficiently.

    Other Responsibilities and Duties:

    • Assists with recruitment decisions (reviews rehire eligibility, nepotism, and internal applicant guidelines).
    • Adheres to labor relations laws by monitoring day-to-day implementation of policies concerning wages, hours and working conditions.

    Previous Experience and Competencies:

    Education: High School diploma or 2-year Associate/Technical Degree

    Experience:  

    • Intellectual acumen, sound judgment, professional and personal integrity, initiative and flexibility, combined with solid analytical and problem-solving skills
    • Assertive, high energy, independent, results-oriented demeanor and a strong drive to succeed
