    Senior Manager of Dispatch

    Lafayette, LA Full-Time

    Job Summary

    Manager of Dispatch for both Waitr and Bitesquad. Directly manage the Dispatch Department in Lafayette that performs dispatching responsibilities for both Operating Companies while providing contingency and oversight for the dispatch office in Mexico City.

    Essential Functions

    • Master the dispatch platforms and other internal systems
    • Work on all assigned tasks within the department
    • Oversee direct reports and provide daily, weekly and monthly feedback
    • Overall accountability of personnel within the department 
    • Collaborates with other departments to create innovative solutions to problems within the business
    • Lead Peak shifts including evenings and weekends when necessary
    • Driving team performance with clear communication and leadership
    • Budgeting, scheduling and labor management within the depart.
    • Ensuring adequate oversight of all markets while managing labor costs and market health

    Required Education and Experience

    1. Associate's degree (A.A) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school or one or more years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
    2. 2-3 years of Management experience in dispatch or field operations 

    Preferred Education and Experience

    1. Bachelor’s degree.
    2. Experienced with dispatch on multiple platforms
    3. Experience in leading large teams in multiple locations
    4. Bilingual- English, Spanish

    1. Strong communication and leadership skills
    2. Ability to screen, hire, & train candidates
    3. Ability to learn and use custom software solutions
    4. Available to work nights and weekends or extended days as needed.

    Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

    This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Sunday. Hours vary based on the demands of business. Evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.

    Travel

    Travel to other corporate offices in Louisiana and Mexico will be required. Travel percentage less than 30%
